This blog is inspired from Facebook’s “Year in Review” feature (no way else I would come up with such a cheesy title). When I went back and reviewed my year, I realized how much I have changed. I promise this blog is not as deep as the first sentence sounds. In this blog, I will be talking about things I have learned and adventures I experienced related to RIT because all this GOOD change came from my transition into senior year.
-
Became a Brick City Ambassador (formerly known as Student Ambassador)
-
My web marketing classes helped me improve my coding and designing skills
-
One day road trip to NYC for my 21st birthday
-
Traveled to Florida for a week and visited places like Orlando, Miami and Kennedy Space Center with my high school buddies.
- Went hiking and biking at parks such as Letchworth State Park, Watkins Glen State Park, and Ontario Beach park.
-
I learned that not all 100-level classes are necessarily ‘easy’.
- Finally started investing in stocks, which got me into reading news daily.
-
Accepted a Digital Marketing co-op at the Saunders College of Business
-
Finally done with classes (except one)
The list is just a brief timeline of my year 2015 because I would not be able to summarize a whole year into one blog (and I’m sure you wouldn’t want to read that much). This is by far the most overwhelming year out of all the 3 and a half years I have been at RIT. Of course, that also means it was the year I learned the most. And woohoo for the last one on the list! All this new information and the part-time work experience has made me better in my major (New Media Marketing) and prepared me for the work I will be doing in future.
2016 has been great for me so far. I will start my co-op at the beginning of the spring semester and I will be taking the last required class of my 4-year program simultaneously. After that, all that’s left for me is GRADUATION! I will be looking forward to this year and the adventures it brings along.
Stay tuned!
