Wow! I can't believe this is already my fifth year at RIT in the Industrial Engineering department. Thinking back there are many good stories in my memory, and thinking to the future I have one and half more years to go.
I just had a dinner with an old friend today. We have been friends since the first year at RIT. During the dinner time, we talked about interesting things that happened our first year. We also talked about the friends we played with before. Some of the friends are still here, some of them are graduated, and some of them transferred to other schools. It is interesting to see how things have changed in four years at RIT. We all grow up as more mature adults. RIT gives us a lot, not just knowledge but also friends and life experience.
During these four years, I went to some retreats organized by student government. Each retreat had different topic to teach students and let us experience as a group. I learned leadership and made friends there. In four years I had three on-campus jobs: food server, computer lab assistant, and student ambassador. I like all these jobs and learned different skills from them. All of them teach me how to work with people which is a great ability needed nowadays. Besides my major courses, I also took some interesting courses at RIT such as skiing, glass making, and drawing. I had lots of fun and first-time experience in different fields.
My expected graduation date is December 2016 so I will have one and half more years at RIT. Although I am already here for four years, I am still excited about the rest of my time here because there are still more interesting courses I wanted to take and still more new people I want to know about. I am happy that I am getting more close to my friends in my major. Looking forward, I will go to more guest speakers to listen to their stories and enjoy the class time doing group projects.
So many plans and new things are waiting for me at RIT. I look forward to this new semester and also good luck to all of you!
