It’s that time of year. The semester is wrapping up and everyone is cracking down on their final projects and papers of the semester. It’s also the time of year where I am very ready to go home. I’m tired, exhausted, and ready for a month long break at home. Unlike a lot of students who are from the New York area, I am a student who lives a little bit further from home. 1,424 miles to be exact; and I think that this Texas girl is ready for a little break from school.
Don’t get me wrong, being homesick does not mean I don’t love being at RIT. I have met so many amazing people and I have had countless opportunities to really figure out who I am and what I want to do with my life—but I’m pretty sure that trying to figure your life out, have good grades, and have an active social life is pretty exhausting. It is the end of the semester and I am a little burnt out. Only 4 projects to finish up and print and two papers stand between me and break!
That being said, I can’t wait to go home! I plan on catching up on sleep, hanging with my family and friends from high school and just taking a break from classes and all of my responsibilities. I hope everyone has a great finals week!
